Cookie Policy
Ansmeter — Brand Visibility Benchmark
Last updated: August 20, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies we use on Ansmeter, and how you can manage them. It complements our Privacy Policy and applies whenever you visit the Ansmeter website.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow websites to remember your preferences and maintain authenticated sessions across page navigations.
2. Cookies we use
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
ansmeter_lang |
Functional | Stores your selected interface language so you do not need to choose it on every visit | 1 year |
ansmeter_access |
Strictly necessary | Maintains your authenticated session when using an Access Key | 30 days |
ansmeter_admin |
Strictly necessary | Maintains the authenticated session of the site administrator | 7 days |
ansmeter_pay_claim |
Strictly necessary | Ties delivery of a purchased Access Key to the browser that made the payment | 48 hours |
We do not use cookies for:
- analytics or measurement (our analytics is cookieless — see Section 3);
- advertising or retargeting;
- cross-site tracking;
- browser fingerprinting.
There is no cookie consent banner, because we set no analytics or marketing cookies that would require one.
3. Analytics — cookieless, no consent required
Ansmeter measures aggregate site usage with Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that we self-host on our own servers in the European Union (Germany). Plausible:
- sets no cookies and stores no identifiers on your device;
- collects only aggregate, anonymous metrics (page views, referrer, approximate region derived from IP, browser and device class) and does not retain your IP address;
- collects no personal data — no name, email, Access Key, or brand data submitted for Research Runs;
- never shares or sells data, and the data never leaves our EU infrastructure.
Because Plausible sets no cookies and stores no information on your device, it does not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive, and no consent banner is shown.
No other third-party tracking scripts are embedded on the ansmeter.com domain. Outbound links to third-party sites (for example, NowPayments for payment processing) are governed by the cookie policies of those sites, which apply on their own domains and not ours.
4. Managing cookies
The only cookies we set are the four listed in Section 2, all first-party. You can delete all cookies for ansmeter.com via your browser settings at any time. Doing so will reset your language preference and end any active session; the site will otherwise continue to function normally.
5. Legal basis
We process cookies based on:
- Strictly necessary (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of contract): the session and payment cookies, required to deliver the Service when you use an Access Key or make a purchase.
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): the functional language-preference cookie, set when you choose a language, and our cookieless Plausible analytics, used to understand aggregate usage and improve the Service. Because Plausible stores no information on your device and processes no personal data, it does not rely on consent under ePrivacy Art. 5(3).
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in applicable law. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
